2026 Vibe Student Showcase - Group Registration

  • Vibe Aerial Arts & Dance 4021 California Ave #3 Carmichael CA Sacramento (map)

General Showcase Information

Welcome to Vibe's 7th Annual Student Showcase! We're so excited to have you join one of this year's group acts.

Our 2026 showcase theme is Jungle Dreams—a celebration of the wild, mysterious, and magical side of the jungle. Each group routine will be choreographed around this theme, with music, costumes, and movement working together to bring a unique jungle-inspired story to life.

This year we'll present four showcase performances, giving you plenty of opportunities to invite your friends and family to come cheer you on. While performers are encouraged to participate in all four performances, this is not required. During your first rehearsal, you'll provide your choreographer with your performance availability so it can be considered during the choreography and staging process. All performances will be held at the studio.

Each group act has its own rehearsal schedule, with additional rehearsals added as needed throughout the rehearsal process. Please review the rehearsal information for your selected group before registering to ensure you can commit to the rehearsal schedule.

Please note that this showcase is designed for our adult students. All performers must be 18 years or older at the time of registration.

🌿We can't wait to see this year's group acts come together and bring Jungle Dreams to life on stage! 🌿

  • Please note there will be two shows on Saturday the 10th one at 2pm and one at 7pm

🌿 Lyra Group Act 🌿

Meet Your Choreographer

Courtney took her first aerial class in 2019 and quickly fell in love with the art of aerial hoop. Later that year, she began incorporating lyra into her burlesque performances at The Pearl Theater in Shanghai, China. In 2020, she started teaching aerial hoop at Zero Gravity while continuing to develop her skills in lyra, aerial moon, and pocket lyra.

After returning to California, Courtney continued her aerial journey as both an instructor at Love/Aerial and a performer throughout Northern California. Outside of the studio, she works for a nonprofit supporting people with disabilities and enjoys exploring California with her husband and spending time with their cats.

Rehearsal Schedule

  • Sundays | 10:00–11:00 AM

  • Beginning August 9th

Please note that rehearsal dates may occasionally change based on instructor availability. Additional rehearsals will likely be scheduled on weekends (Friday–Sunday) as we get closer to the showcase.

Prerequisites

This routine is designed for students who are comfortable performing longer sequences and transitions on the lyra. Participants should be confident with the following skills:

  • Entering and exiting the lyra using multiple entries (side mount, straddle mount, and pike mount from below)

  • Basic knee hangs, including Hock Hang and Delilah

  • All five profile sits

  • Beginner poses such as Mermaid, Amazon, Wineglass, Gazelle, Birdie, Coffin, Back Balance, and Front Balance

  • Spinning on the lyra (a fast spin is not required)

This group act is ideal for seasoned beginners and intermediate students. Students who are currently between levels and working toward the next level are encouraged to join, provided they are comfortable with the prerequisite skills listed above.

If you're looking for a fun, supportive performance experience while continuing to grow your confidence and artistry on the lyra, this group is a great fit!

Costume Information

Please note that while there is no registration fee for group acts, participants are responsible for purchasing their own costumes.

Costume design and requirements will be determined by each individual choreographer and will be communicated during the rehearsal process.

Registration closes August 1st at midnight.

Please make sure you complete your registration before the deadline. Late registrations may not be accepted, as group choreography and rehearsal planning will begin shortly after registration closes.

🐍 Silks Group Act 🐍

Meet Your Choreographer

Ashley has been training aerial silks since 2018 and began coaching in 2025. Over the past several years, she has developed a deep love for both performing and the creative process behind building an act. Ashley approaches choreography with curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to experiment. Some of her favorite moments in the studio have come from unexpected discoveries and rehearsal "mistakes" that turned into something even better.

She is excited to collaborate with students throughout the creative process and create a performance that showcases everyone's unique strengths. Let's make some art!
