Pole Technique Classes

Level 1 -Beginner Pole

  • Beginner Pole focus on developing strength, coordination, and spatial awareness. Beginner pole moves utilize 3 or 4 points of contact and will be completed from standing height or on the ground. This class will contain beginner spins, poses, and low-level moves as well as conditioning exercises designed to help build the strength needed to complete both pole climbs and inverts.

  • There are no prerequisites for this class

Level 1.5 - Intro to Intermediate

  • This class focuses on the strength and technique needed to execute clean climbs, inverts, and leg hangs. This class utilizes 2 to 4 points of contact on the pole and moves are completed from both the ground and standing. This class will work to develop the skills needed to enter and exit moves safely and prepare you for intermediate level classes.

  • Pole 1.5 Prerequisites 

    • Be able to complete a standard & side climb on both sides

    • Be able to complete invert prep such as knee tucks and/or fan kicks

    • Be able to complete a jasmine, apprentice, and genie on both sides 

    • Be able to comfortably hold a pole sit 

    • Be comfortable with a variety of grips such as baseball, bracket, split, and invert (armpit)

    • Be able to complete a variety of beginner spins such as a chair spin, fireman spin, front or back hook spin, and/or a dip spin.

    • Be able to hold one's own body weight 

Level 2 - Intermediate

  • In this class you will work to improve your climbs and inverts as well as work on your leg hangs (Gemini & Scorpio) in the air. This class utilizes 2 to 4 points of contact on the pole and moves are completed from both standing and from a single climb. This class will also work to develop the strength need to combine moves on and off the ground. This class will explore moves such as butterfly, brass monkey, shoulder mount, and much more.

  • Prerequisites: the ability to complete clean climbs (standard & side), pole sits, and clean inverts from the ground. All of the prerequisites for level 2 should be competed on both the right and left side.

Level 3 - Intermediate+

  • Intermediate+ class will build on the strength and technique developed in levels 1, 1.5, and 2 as well as move to mostly all 2 and 3 points of contact. This class will begin to work on moves such as handsprings, handstands, and aerial moves such as aerial inverts and aerial shoulder mounts. This class will work to combine pole moves into 3 to 4 move combinations that will be both on and off the ground.

  • Prerequisites: the ability to complete clean climbs, pole sits, inverts, shoulder mounts from the ground, leg hangs (Gemini & Scorpio), and hold a butterfly in true grip, inverted D, and/or Ayesha. All of the prerequisites for level 3 should be completed on both the right and left side with clean technique.

Level 4 - Advanced

  • This class focuses primarily on the combination of aerial moves and works with two-point-of-contact moves. Most combinations will be 4 to 6 moves long and will all be off the ground. This class will explore variations of moves from all levels and focus on developing fluidity in the air. This class will also improve endurance as many of the the sequences are longer and aerial.

  • Prerequisites: must be able to safely execute handsprings, be comfortable in handstand positions, aerial inverts, aerial shoulder mounts, all leg hangs (Gemini, Scorpio, Brass Monkey, etc.), and sustain ones own body weight in the air with only two points of contact for multiple transitions.

Pole Conditioning

  • This is a mixed level pole conditioning class. This class will help you develop the strength and body awareness needed to execute pole moves for all levels. This class will break down complex movements into small exercises to help you build the strength needed to safely achieve your pole goals. Modification can and will be given but students are asked to take a few beginner classes prior to this conditioning class. If you are not sure if your are ready for this class please ask an instructor.

  • Prerequisites: Proficiently in basic grips, sits, climbs or climb prep, and inverts or invert prep such as tucks or fan kicks.

Open pole

  • This is an open studio time for pole. Students of all levels can come use this time to practice. There will be no formal instruction given during this class time.

Pole Choreography Classes

Beginner Choreography

This is a class that is great for all levels but is designed to incorporate the spins and poses learned in level 1. Choreography will vary in style to match the music, and the length will depend on the song that is being used at the time. This class will help develop not only performance technique but stamina as well. This class will stay at a ground or single climb height and will also incorporate floor work and low flow moves. This class will be taught on both static pole and spin depending on the choreography.

  • Prerequisites: proficiency in level 1 moves / spins, pole sits, climbs or climb prep, and basic pole awareness. It is recommend to have taken at least 5 pole 1 classes before attending this class.

Intro to Heels for Pole

Discover the art of movement in heels while building confidence, flow, and performance quality. Designed for advanced beginners and up, this class focuses on combining pole tricks, transitions, and heel technique into seamless movement combinations. Classes primarily use static pole, with occasional spinning pole elements incorporated throughout the session. Come ready to move, learn, and develop your unique style in heels.

Prerequisites:
Students should be confident with beginner spins (Hook, Fireman, and Chair Spin), fan kicks, figurehead, and pole sits. Students should also be able to climb or successfully perform climbing prep movements such as a step-up.

What to Bring:

  • Professional pole dance stilettos (6–8 inch heels; no street shoes or 9-inch heels)

  • Knee pads (highly recommended)

  • Socks

  • Water bottle

  • Grip aid

Intermediate Heels for Pole

Intermediate heels: In this class we will learn an intermediate heels-based choreo on static pole. This class builds on elementary skills learned in L1, L1.5, choreo, and introductory heels classes and includes longer, fluid pathways of movement where one move bleeds into the next. Parts of this choreo will include movements where the body is entirely off the ground.

  • Prerequisites: Basic spins in heels such as pirouettes and diamond rolls, body/leg waves, fan kicks, straight-leg invert negatives, pike crunches, jasmine,  and completion of at least 5 intro heels/choreo classes plus 5 L1.5 classes.

What to Bring:

  • Professional pole dance stilettos (6–8 inch heels; no street shoes)

  • Knee pads (highly recommended)

  • Water bottle

  • Grip aid

Intermediate Pole Flow

Explore movement, creativity, and connection in this intermediate-level pole flow class. Taught barefoot or in socks (heels are welcome but not required), this class focuses on fluid transitions between the pole and floor, emphasizing different ways to use both as tools for expression. Students will learn movement sequences while also developing musicality, improvisation skills, and confidence in creating their own unique movement vocabulary.

  • Prerequisites: Pole 1.5+ level. Students should be comfortable holding their own body weight and confidently perform climbs, pole sits, Jasmine, Genie, and other foundational pole skills.
